She brings a compassionate approach to all her teaching and her students, and she is a skillful and insightful yoga therapist. She has helped thousands of private students of all ages and abilities through their life challenges with yoga practices, wisdom teachings, and her calm presence.

The Mohans represent an extraordinary wealth of yoga knowledge and yoga teaching experience. They are one of the few remaining direct links to the authentic yoga traditions of Krishnamacharya and classical yoga. They are particularly known for making in-depth yoga knowledge accessible through a clear and personalized teaching style.

Svastha Yoga & Ayurveda was started by A. G. Mohan and Indra Mohan, in the tradition of the legendary yogi Krishnamacharya. Svastha combines the best of traditional yoga with modern science, refined over decades of practical teaching and extensive studies.

The Mohans are also authors of numerous books on yoga.

What is Mindfulness?

Mindfulness is when the mind is purposefully focused on some aspect of the present moment. Not thinking back to the past, anxious about the future, or dreaming aimlessly. It is not reacting, jumping from one thing to the other, wandering off thinking about something completely unrelated to what we are doing, or judging or evaluating. It is just purposefully and peacefully paying attention.

Mindfulness through the Yogic Path

A.G. Mohan and Indra Mohan’s lifelong dedication to Yoga, Ayurveda and Mindfulness is crystallized in their Mindfulness for Svastha Program which makes the profound wisdom of the great yogic traditions of the past relevant and accessible to literally everyone today.

The word Svastha in Sanskrit refers to the state of complete health and balance. The primary focus of Mindfulness for Svastha is to not only observe and understand the mind, but to actively alleviate stress, anxiety and mental tension using simple, practical yogic methods – useful for yoga and meditation teachers, health professionals and anyone interested in acquiring the inner tools required to achieve mental steadiness, clarity and contentment, regardless of personal circumstances.
